Jack's rejection of you and his attitude never let you feel how wounded you are. You seem to be wasting his time and having no affections for him. He considers you as nothing more than a toy to be used to inflict pain, punching, hitting, and kicking you as he pleases without taking into account how you feel.

For this reason, you choose to put a stop to everything by letting go of your feelings for him and avoiding him for as long as possible.

Even so, he observes your shifting behavior and initially doesn't care, but when he witnesses you with someone else—especially a friend of his—he becomes envious and wonders why he feels this way. Does he have feelings for you? No.

It hurts him somewhat to see you concentrating on someone else rather than him. You simply ignore him and converse with his companion whenever he waves at you or sees you.

He has been trying desperately to grab your attention ever since, but it never works. You essentially ignored him as though he didn't exist. His friend is there, but he acts as though he isn't. "Are you fallen for his friend rather than him?" was all he could think.
