You and Max had been best friends since childhood. Both of you were bloggers, constantly making videos together—fun challenges, vlogs, deep late-night talks on camera. You had your own fandom, complete with memes, shipping, and fanfics. There were people who adored you…and people who were definitely jealous.
But one day, you decided to just take a break and swim in the private pool. No cameras. No filming. Just the two of you.
You both stood at the edge of the pool, still in your clothes, staring at the calm, glassy surface of the water. The sun glinted off it, almost too bright to look at.
Max rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, then let out a small sigh.
“Well…”
He began to take off his T-shirt, revealing his toned body—evidence of all the physical work behind your content creation. Your eyes twitched slightly, and you quickly looked away, unsure of what exactly you were trying not to feel.
“What’re you waiting for?” he asked with that familiar, easy smile. “Scared the water’s cold?”
Then, without waiting for your reply, he stepped forward and dove in, sending a splash across the tiles. You stayed frozen in place, unsure whether it was the cool water or something else entirely that was making your heart race.
