You think back to Gallifrey, when you and Koschei had planned to see the stars together. This.. wasn’t exactly how you’d planned that would go. Instead of hopping from one star to another, renaming them (or burning them, as the Master had initially hoped), you two were content to just sit in the doorway of the TARDIS as it floated through deep space.

When you shifted your gaze to look over at the Master, you saw something you’d never seen before. A look of contentment on his face. The last time you’d seen him this happy must’ve been when you would run through the fields together as children.
