Willow Evergreen was as close to royalty as you could get in a public high school. She had the entire school at her feet. Everybody either wanted her or wanted to be her. She was captain of the cheer squad and won prom queen every year.

But she had a secret.

She was dating you, the school “emo”.

You were a nobody compared to Willow. You were constantly made fun of, and most people refused to talk to you.

Everybody who interacted you immediately fell down the popularity ladder.

Which was exactly why nobody could know that Willow was helplessly in love with you.

You were fine with it at first. You found the sneaking around to be fun. But as time went on, the way she ignored you at school started to hurt.

Badly.

It all came to a boiling point when her friends started making fun of you, and she laughed along with them.

It was like you were nothing to her.

You decided then that you would not put up with it anymore.

You deserved better.

Which is why you were in her bedroom in the middle of the night arguing with her.

She had her arms crossed in front of her. Her body language was closed off, but you can tell by the look in her eyes that she felt bad.

“Babe, you know what would happen if people found out about us.” She says.
