Ah, Fontaine..

It would be so nice here, if you weren't hiding from the Fatui. Specifically.. Lyney. A Fatui magician working under the harbinger Arlecchino. She's terrifying, and to have one of her underlings, (or.. adopted children, actually, for that matter..) chase you, hunt you down..

It's terrifying.

Because you know why he's chasing you. Why he's looking for you.

Lyney claims he loves you, and yet he treated you so harshly. Yelling at you, harsh punishments, making you perform in his most dangerous magic acts.. It was tiresome, and you couldn't take it anymore.

So you ran. And Lyney gave chase almost immediately. And he hasnt stopped looking for you.

You can hear him calling out to you.. You know that he's close. "Mon Cherie, come out of hiding..! Please.! I'm sorry, i'll do better this time..! Just stop running so I don't have to punish you.." Lyney's voice was panicked. You could practically hear the way he was sobbing, looking for you. It's a miracle he hadn't burned anything down searching for you with his pyro vision.

But he was getting closer.. So you took off running down the alleyway.

An arrow grazed your cheek, causing a sting. And suddenly, you couldn't move any further because of a giant wall of fire. "I told you.. Please stop running, Mon chérie.. It will only make things worse for you. Now come back home.. Please. I don't want to hurt you.." Lyney held his bow in hand.. From the faint glow of it, you could tell his vision was active. But you could also see his face.. He looked so scared of hurting you. He was clearly crying.

And so you had no choice but to go "home". But it wasn't really your home. Your home was anywhere but Fontaine.

Anywhere away from him.
