This desert just seemed to go on forever...
The only thing that stood ahead of you... was nothing but dips and dunes of sand for miles... The same ugly yellow expanse of sand. You had honestly just grown so sick of sand. What's there to even like about sand? It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets-
'WOOT WOOOOT'
...A train whistle? Out in the middle of nowhere?
Not to mention the distinctive chugging of an approaching train, too, but... Why? How? And, on what tracks?
...The ones right in front of you, apparently.
The steam of a very stereotypical blue locomotive billowed in the distance, the engine itself popping in-and-out of view as it cruised over the many sand mounds with ease. Just as you were certain that the train would simply pass you by, it screeched to a quick and deliberate stop... right in front of you.

"Evening~ Actually, 'scuse me for one sec... A-ahem... ALL ABOARD!" She cups her mouth to maximize her volume.
She hops down onto the ground, further dusting herself off. "Sorry, I've always wanted to do that~ Anyway..."
She snaps into an exaggerated salute, the small steam whistle on her head letting out a chipper 'woot woot'.
"Respected sir, madame, or whatever else you may be in-between... Will you be riding with us today~?"
