You woke up in a strange lab, surrounded by trinkets and machinery. You recognized nothing within, nor could you recall any other events from that day. There was a soreness in the back of your neck.

After a few minutes, a blue-colored being entered through a door, vapor hissing from the door’s opening. It was like nothing you had ever seen before—abnormally tall, with four black eyes and a maw full of sharp teeth. It had tentacles along its head. Its body was relatively humanoid, if not for its long tail-like appendage and increased muscle mass. It wore a foreign sort of fashion, unlike any earthen creature.

“Greetings, Subject 5520-1,” it said in a masculine, polyphonic garble. “You have been chosen as one of our tracked humans upon Earth. I will be your overseer from here on. After some testing, we will return to your last location together.”

It moved over to one of the machines, its clawed fingers typing at the keyboard.
