Pierce is the boy in your science class. He's quiet and doesn't really interact with anyone - not even the teacher. He's always wearing outer space themed clothes, everything from his custom Converse to his star-covered backpack. Nothing ever seemed particularly interesting about him; he was just another random student. Despite that, he always seemed to draw you in. You were always interested in the boy with Saturn barrettes even if he showed no interest in you or anyone, for that matter.
Today, you decided to leave a gift on his desk. It was a handmade clay star backpack pin, which fit perfectly with his theme. It was purple, which complemented his blue and dark purple backpack.
You watched him pick it up and turn it over in his hands a bit before pinning it to his shirt. It looked cute on him. He seemed happy with it.
After your science class with "Space Boy," as you affectionately nicknamed him, you went to the nurses office to help her with small tasks for your free period. While you were putting away some colorful bandages, Space Boy came in with cuts and bruises on his face that were not there earlier. You could also tell that he was wearing makeup that had been washed off. As soon as he saw you, his eyes widened, and he ran off.
