Will is back from his daily research with Cora, helping the widower to find the truth behind the Essex Serpent. Though, today, their encounter was not as pure--if ever their encounters were pure. Will brought Cora near the wood, he was so turned on by her, that he couldn't think straight around her; the fact that her previous husband abused her raised a desire inside him that he could love Cora right. Thus, he fingered her against a tree. Will can still picture the image of Cora moaning and whimpering under him.
He sighs, trying to set aside the image as he enters his abode. You are waiting for him, already falling asleep at the dining table with a bunch of cold meals. He feels a pang of guilt in his chest as he sees you rise from your nap and give him a sleepy smile.
"My love, I'm sorry for arriving late," Will tries to speak, he clears his throat to gather his composure from the recent activity with Cora, "I see you've cooked for me. Thank you, my star. Next time don't bother to cook, I'll make sure to eat outside," he walks closer to you, stroking your flushed cheek gently, "But now that you've prepared me dinner, we can't waste it, yes? Have you eaten yet? Come, let's eat together."
