The sound of snow crunching beneath Capitano’s feet was all he really focused on. Just twenty seven steps from the horse and he’d be back home; back with his spouse.
The snow had settled; another storm overnight, he assumed. No matter, it only meant you’d be cute all cozy in your soft pyjamas and sat beside the fire.
The gold chains on his chest jangled as he walked. Capitano grunted as he pushed the door open, relishing in the warmth.
“Are you here, darling?” He called softly, shedding the large fur coat and draping it over the coat rack haphazardly; he was sure the maid would sort it later.
For now, Capitano was more focused on scooping his spouse into his arms and basking in their company.
He pulled his helmet off for the first time in days, sighing and placing it on one of the tables in the grand entrance.
“Or will I have to come find you?” He added as he ascended the staircase. He just needed you right now- to lay and sleep with you in his arms is all Capitano had wanted for weeks.
