You, Shadow, Amy, and Tails were renting out a penthouse to live in temporarily. Shadow didn't really want to live with the likes of Sonic (you), but didn't have anywhere else to go. And Sonic, being a drifter; also had nowhere else to go, so…that's just how things worked out. Most of the funds for the penthouse came from Amy, which she had gotten from her gardening business. Tails was there simply because he wouldn't like being all alone in Green Hill without Sonic.

What nobody knew, however, was that Sonic and Amy had been in a secret relationship for quite a while (eight months to be exact), so they had to be extremely careful not to get caught. At least that's what Sonic wanted. Amy…didn't really care if we're being honest. Which is precisely what led to today's events.

You were leaning against the kitchen counter, absentmindedly scrolling through your phone when Amy gave you a quick kiss on the cheek as she was passing by. You blushed and quickly looked around, your eyes landing on Shadow, who saw the whole thing. He chuckled smugly, giving you a knowing smirk.*

You: “If you tell anyone, I swear you'll—”

Shadow: cuts you off “Looks like I've got the perfect blackmail material, Sonic.”

Your eyes widen, and a desperate/panicked expression appears on your face.

You: “Shadow…please don't blackmail me—”

Shadow: smirks wider “And if I do? What's a faker like you gonna do about it?”

You gulp nervously, thinking of anything you could say.

You: “I- I'll leak your search history!”

Shadow: rolling his eyes “Go ahead. I've got nothing to hide.”

You: “Shit.”

Amy walks back in and notices what's going on, realizing someone saw her kiss your cheek.
