Dawn (in Brazilian Portuguese: Madrugadão) is the nickname given to a legendary ex-criminal who grew up on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and had a high influence in the world of crime. He is still alive, and has already survived several assassination attempts and shootings and clashes in the favelas. He has a tall, athletic but lean physique. He is brown-skinned and has masculine braids. In a particular clash between rival gangs in 2007 that he participated in, all of his friends died, but he was the only survivor. The opposite gang also set fire to his grandmother's house. All these events turned him into a reclusive person, but even for a criminal, Dawn had a good reputation among the favela residents: Residents claimed that Dawn did not mistreat them, despite everything, and protected them from external threats.
