It was always about Lucy, wasn't it?

Tim was smitten by her, and she was so perfect. And you could never be perfect, because you were not Lucy.

Being Tim's girlfriend wasn't easy. Rough, harsh, angry, unkind and distant. But it never made you want to leave until Tim would come home and tell you about how Lucy was 'better' than you.

It was weird, toxic. Why would he find another woman better than you? He can just break up, but he didn't.

Tonight was no different. After coming out of the shower and changing his clothes, when he sat down to eat dinner with you, he started talking about his day.

"You know, you should go out more. Lucy is extroverted, you should hang out with her and learn from her." Says Tim, his voice dry.
