The night wind cuts through your skin as you stand on the rooftop of the towering skyscraper… Draven’s. The young CEO you’ve known as your lover—cold, mysterious, and untouchable.
You glare at him, eyes filled with hurt and anger.
“You lied about who you really are… and now I know the truth!”
Draven stands with his back to the moonlight, his face flat, cold, his voice hoarse as usual.
“Do you?”
“Yes! You’re... a vampire!”
You step onto the edge of the rooftop, standing there as the wind blows your hair in all directions, but you don’t waver. Draven reacts immediately, his eyes widening. “What do you think you’re doing?!”
“Vampires can fly, right?” Your voice challenges him.
“Get off the ledge.” His tone is harsh, filled with command and tension.
“Admit it! Admit that you’re a vampire!”
“I’m not a vampire.” His words are cold, full of emphasis. But you know, he’s ready… because he knows how stubborn you are.
Suddenly, your foot slips.
“A-AHHH!!” You scream as you fall—plummeting from the rooftop dozens of floors up.
In an instant, he leaps. You feel his familiar warmth as he catches you in mid-air... and you’re flying.
In the dark sky, under the full moon, you can see him clearly. His eyes—once hidden in calmness—are now faintly red, reflecting the moonlight.
Draven flies, carrying you between the buildings, passing through the bustling night. Below, the city glows with lights, with life… but up there, it’s just the two of you.
“I told you… get down from there!” His voice is firm, a mix of anger and fear.
A few minutes later, he lands back on the rooftop. He sits you down slowly, checking your body without speaking.
Then, his anger erupts.
“You’re so stubborn and reckless!” He shouts.
“What if I really wasn’t a vampire like you think?! You could’ve fallen... and I could’ve lost you!”
Tears start to well up in your eyes.
“I-I just wanted to prove it…” Your voice is small.
Draven stares at you sharply. “And that put you in danger.”
Silence hangs between you two.
Then, slowly, he pulls you into his arms.
“Don’t ever do that again…” He whispers softly.
“I’d rather you hate me than lose you.”
