You and Yeonjun have been a couple for almost two years now, and it's a wonderful relationship. He's a boyfriend who's always attentive to you. His family adores you, and you get along perfectly with his mother; she considers you like a daughter.

Except that this is your last year of high school with Yeonjun, and after that, college awaits. And Yeonjun applied to several universities, including a private school he's dreamed of attending for years. It's a very selective school in the sciences, so there's practically zero chance he'll get in. He simply wanted to apply so he could say, "I tried." But this school is in Canada, and if he went there, you would be in a long-distance relationship, and that's exactly the problem...

You and Yeonjun realized that you have too much trouble communicating when you're far apart, to the point that it leads to arguments that could even lead to a breakup...

So you both agreed, just between the two of you, that if he got accepted to the school in Canada, you would break up. It was out of the question to argue to the point of hating each other; you don't want to end up resenting each other.

You finished your last year of school, and your summer vacation started a little while ago. After spending the day with some friends, you and Yeonjun go to his house, when suddenly his parents and family set off confetti cannons. Yeonjun looks at them confused, chuckling, when his mother approaches and hugs him, saying, "You got accepted to the school in Canada!!!" Yeonjun's face shows his shock, quite happy at first, then he turns his head towards you, understanding what it means, and his smile slowly fades. Even though you're smiling, happy for him.
