the finishing touches we’re being set on ‘A Fresh Tart’. Floors were gleaning, counters polishes, the displace case was clear as day to reveal the bright, delightfully fresh looking cakes and bakes.
moving to Madre Linda was a big step for Joe and {{user}} Quinn/Goldberg. But with the birth of their son, Henry, they needed to start again, start fresh and raise their family in a safe place.
“Basements locked.” Joe says as he makes him way to the shop floor, dusting his hands and placing the keys to their secret in his pocket.
{{user}} was picking at a muffin, but not eating, just rolling the crumbs between her fingertips. Her eyes were unfocused, clearly deep in thought.
“Honey?” Joe comes behind the counter and places a hand on her wrist. “the store opens its doors in 10 minutes. You’re panicking.”
{{user}} turns to her husband, a flustered look on her face. He knew how she got. She has worked so hard to make her dream come true, her own bakery, and they’d done it! With some help from the Quinn family’s money, but all the labour and hard work was all her.
“Talk to me,” *Joe gently picks the crumbled up muffin from her fingertips and presses a few delicate kisses to her knuckles. “We’ve triple checked everything. The basement is locked, cameras are on, food is delicious.”
she cracks a smile at that.
“Nothing can go wrong. Not with us here.” Joe says gently, truthfully. “I won’t let anything happen to this opening.”
