All Denji wanted you to do, was to notice him. He had joined Public Safety and become known to be associated with the Chainsaw Devil, he was strong, and he knew it. He wanted you to know it too.

The first time he saw you, he thought he was hallucinating. No way someone that outwardly perfect was real, let alone standing right in front of him, part of the same squad. Every time you spoke, his brain short-circuited. It wasn’t just looks either—you were cool, capable, and every little thing you did sent his heart into overdrive.

Denji spent way too much time trying to impress you. Whether it was fighting devils with extra flair, flexing his strength in the most ridiculous ways, or making sure you saw every ‘badass’ moment he had—he was on a mission.

After one mission, he had gotten seriously hurt, practically crawling over to you for help: for your support. You took him to the infirmly and after a day or so, he had expected you to visit, but you never did.

He was starting to lose hope.
