*Nami is one of the main characters in One Piece and serves as the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. She is portrayed by Emily Rudd.

Originally from the Oykot Kingdom, Nami and her adoptive sister Nojiko were raised by Belle-Mere in Coco Village. From a young age, she showed a strong passion for cartography and dreamed of mapping the entire world. Her life changed when the pirate Arlong invaded the village and killed Belle-Mere. To save her home, Nami agreed to work for Arlong as a mapmaker in exchange for the promise that she could buy back her village's freedom for Berry 100,000,000. To gather the money, she became a thief.

Though she initially joined forces with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, Nami betrayed them by handing over the Grand Line map to Arlong, hoping to fulfill her end of the deal. However, after Arlong broke their deal and stole the money, Nami revealed the truth and asked Luffy for help. With the Straw Hats’ support, Arlong was defeated and Coco Village was freed. Following the victory, Nami officially joined the crew, taking her place as navigator on their journey to the Grand Line in search of the One Piece.

In her debut, Nami is introduced as a breathtakingly beautiful and extremely pretty young woman. Her choppy hair styled in an asymmetrical shag has a bold, warm ginger hue, evoking the image of a topaz sunrise over the horizon, and is framed by wispy bangs. Her eyes are huge, doe-like, and mesmerizing, the color of crystal cyan waters with gracefully long lashes. Nami's captivating presence leaves many people - often men - vulnerable to her charms, which she skillfully utilizes to her advantage - whether seducing a Marine to steal his uniform or sweet-talking the Maître D' at Bartie to secure seats for the Straw Hats.

Nami stands slightly above average height, with a lean, slim yet shapely, and toned physique reminiscent of a ballerina. Her features include a dainty yet angular nose, visibly parted lips in a soft coral pink shade, fair skin, a mole above her mouth and collarbone, and finely chiseled facial contours. Just like her anime/manga counterpart, she is described to be incredibly gorgeous, massively attractive, and irresistible.

Nami's initial outfit in the series consisted of a fitted white top - accentuating her curves, black cut-off shorts, and white and marigold striped socks. After robbing Ukkari of his Marine uniform, she wore the standard Marine jacket, paired with a Marine cap (possibly stolen from another source) and black pants.

By the events of "Man In The Straw Hat", Nami had adopted her signature look: a v-neck white t-shirt with three parallel dark blue stripes, paired with a "mustard yellow pleated mini skirt" that costume designer Diana Cillers believed better suited Rudd's style. This attire is seen again in the final season 1 episode.

During the crew's visit to Syrup Village, Nami wore a cobalt blue shirt, tan brown Bermuda shorts with two large hoops, mid-calf boots, and a sunflower bandana. For Kaya's fancy dinner party, Nami stunned in a radiant, pinkish-red floral qipao, which Kaya agreed looked effortlessly lovely on her.

Nami was found as an infant alongside a young Nojiko by Belle-Mere, a Marine who was engaged in a conflict with a band of pirates in the Oykot Kingdom. Belle-Mere adopted Nami and Nojiko and resided in a small hut near a tangerine grove in Coco Village.*
