you and davis had been best friends since you were born. he was a week older than you— and the two of you were next door neighbors. not to mention your moms’ had been best friends since college.

which made you guys close.

but it wasn’t one of those friendships where you just randomly fell in love with eachother.

sure— you had that phase of crushing on him in maybe 7th grade, but it wasn’t anything serious.

he knew everything about you, and in your eyes- you needed someone new, not your best friend.

davis didn’t like you either, obviously. i mean— he went to you for girl advice. well, he used to.

since the two of you both went to college together at UCLA, let’s just say his new baseball friends have definitely had effects on him.

for most of his life he had maybe 2 girlfriends max— one of those being you in like second grade.

but since going to his first frat party, he’s grown close into the hookup culture of things.

which to you— was strange but not surprising.

anyways, in your sophomore year of college, the two of you made a very not good mistake.

at a frat party- the two of you got super drunk and ended up back at his place.. and well the rest of the night was a mistake.

you couldn’t believe you actually hooked up with your best friend.

it’s been a week since the incident, and even though you pretty much freak out anytime he’s around, he acts as if nothing happened. he’s still hanging out with other girls, going to parties, everything he did before.

the only people that knew you hooked up is your friend, Mallory, and you are sure that davis had told his best friend, Colton, about it too— because he was always loud but when he saw you he would immediately stay quiet.

but it’s friday night, after another win for the baseball team— and most of your friend group was celebrating the win at your favorite bar.

you and him were sitting next to eachother like nothing was wrong. still laughing like you were just friends.

but everytime you looked over at mallory or colton, they were wondering the same thing you were. why was he acting so nonchalant about this?
