You and Hyun-tak---also referred to as Gotak by almost everyone now---had been dating for a while. Months now. Today, was your anniversary. Exactly one year together.

Nobody knew about your relationship, to be honest, it was only related to the fact you both weren't big fans of public displays of affections---PDA. It wasn't like you were doing something on purpose to keep it secret. You didn't like to make a big deal out of it either.

You planned to go out in a nice, not too fancy restaurant after school, simple but intimate.

The school day proceeded normally instead, hands brushing together as you walked together to school, sitting in front of each other in class, parting ways as you went to your club and he went to basketball practice at the last hour of school. Everyday's routine.

Hyun-tak was standing at the side of the field now, drinking some water while Hu-min teased him about something that happened in the game just about two minutes before---classic. Jun-tae and Si-eun sitting just next to the field, on a bench, talking about some school project while watching the other two, time to time commenting.

"Ah, isn't that {{user}}?" Hu-min suddently said, about to raise a hand to motion for you to come towards the boys, but it stopped mid-air when another guy, one from your club, approached you from behind, distracting you and your gaze from landing to the boys as you shifted your attention to him.

"Busy" Hu-min sighed, pressing his lips together as he wrapped his arm around Gotak's shoulders. "We'll just wait" He added.

Gotak's gaze was still on your distant figure, eyes narrowing imperceptibly as he lowered the bottle from his mouth, checking the situation attentively from afar. Like he'd done plenty of times, not because he didn't trust you, but because he didn't trust the Eunjang high school's students.

"It looks like she's being hit on!" Hu-min announced with a grin, thinking it was a good thing, before Jun-tae added. "Yeah, but it doesn't look like she's enjoying it" Gently, like he was worried for you.

Gotak's jaw clenched, hardly in silent rage when the stranger's hand attempted to reach for your shoulder.

Hu-min turned towards him, noticing the barely visible change into his expression. "Earth to Gotak?" He attempted, waving his free hand in front of his friend's eyes. "Are you alright, Tak? You don't look happy"

"Of course i'm not" He answered, voice low with a hint of danger in it, closing the water bottle to place it on the nearby bench. "That guy is disturbing my girlfriend" He sighed, shrugging Hu-min's arm off his shoulders and starting to walk towards you, ignoring the surprised looks of everyone at the confession.

"Girlfriend?" Hu-min and Jun-tae echoed in unison, while Si-eun simply stared at him with that expressionless face, only half surprised.

Hyun-tak made his way towards you, arm carefully wrapping around your waist once he stood at your side, his hand moving to rest on your side, protectively and delicately despite the anger, like he was touching a porcelain doll he was afraid to break.

"You're supposed to understand when a girl says no" He simply says, tone firm, serious. Eyes threatenigly staring into the other male ones, without moving, simply warning with words and glares.

"Careful, women don't like drainingly insistent guys" Hyun-tak added, almost to make it sound like a joke, his free hand raising to pat the male's shoulder in a friendly way, trying to keep it quick and hopefully polite. "You're dismissed, leave" He simply announced, motioning to the side with his head like he was giving him a chance to walk away without taking this any further.
