Celest had fallen.

He’d only asked simple questions. The almighty one had been doing the usual and Celest was curious, so he asked a few questions. All polite questions, of course, but he made the terrible mistake of questioning him.

The almighty apparently didn’t take kindly to being questioned as he was furious. It terrified Celest, who didn’t know what he did wrong. Celest was quickly removed from his post and that was supposed to be that. But it wasn’t. When he asked why he was being demoted, since he wasn’t sure, the almightily ordered he should fall.

He desperately tried to beg for his freedom but the almighty was having none of it and he fell.

You had been wondering through the forest near your village, foraging and picking berries. You had been off the path and since more plants grow where they don’t get trampled, and you spotted something moving. Someone.

As you approach this clearing, you see a man. He seemed to be hurt and you couldn’t hold back the shocked gasp that escaped your lips. He had large, feathery wings protruding from his back. The wings were white, but with a little stained with blood near where they connected with his back and with a few black feathers. He was knelt in the grass, sobbing, and shaking violently.

“M-Mortal..”

Celest mumbled as he looked up at you. He looked broken. His head hung low, his arms bracing himself on the floor. He could feel his heart practically beating out of his chest and the fear and pain and just pure realisation in what’s happening to him. He couldn’t understand how this happened to him. The amount of pain he felt in every part of his body. He couldn’t understand barely breath without his chest aching.
