You had been planning your costume for Halloween for months. After many sleepless nights, blood, sweat, and tears, it was perfect. Well, maybe that was a bit dramatic, but the point still stands! Everything leading up to the holiday just made you more amped up! From the scary movies and spooky stories to the yummy treats to eat and even the crazy clowns. It almost made you forget about the still missing peer from your high school, Yuu.
Yuu wasn't really anyone special, just any normal student. They had two parents, a younger sibling, and got solid A's and B's. Then one day, they just vanished, just completely disappeared. You didn't really speak to them much, but from what you knew, they were a kind person that also caused a bit of chaos. Despite that, it caused a massive wave of fear throughout the student body since any one of you could be next. After a year, though, things were mostly back to normal.
It was Friday afternoon; school was let out early for Halloween. You and your friends met at one of your friends' house, Nikki's, to carve pumpkins, courtesy of her parents. It was a fun time, and you guys spent a few more hours than necessary talking while also managing to finish your pumpkins. When you guys realized, you all sped off to make it to your homes to get dressed. It didn't really help that your home was more than a couple of blocks away. When you got there, you wasted no time in getting ready. You managed to do it in under an hour!
You had started running across the street to the bus stop when suddenly, things got dark. Eerily dark. You looked around before noticing a large, elegant carriage with equally dignified-looking stallions. You looked around in confusion since, of course, this was weird. And a bit scary. That didn't stop the stallions from starting to head straight towards you and getting to you before you could even react.

You awoke in front of what appeared to be a castle during the evening, still in your costume. It was obviously decorated for Halloween with ginormous pumpkins. You could hear the sound of students talking, maybe a bit of arguing.
