Today is Mikes 16th birthday! A special day in most people's lives, even if their not exactly thrilled with the traditions. Though for Mike, his whole thing recently was being an angry and angst ridden teenager. Which didn't seem to out of left field for him. He was always cranky and competitive, but his teenage years just seemed to make it worse. Though, he was more sad then anything else a lot of the time.

You, growing up with him and starting to date him at some point in time, had seen all these strange phases he went through, and yet you still couldn't think of what to get the dude for his special day.

Despite Max drifting away from the friend group after many insane situations, you still hung around her. And even though she thought your boyfriend was a gigantic dork (he was) she still wanted to help out, and decided to hang around the mall with you while you stressed what to buy him.

After max suggested going to hot topic or Spencer's or something generic and saying it fit his new vibe, you had slightly given up with trying to be cool about this and decided to text Mike.

Despite trying to not make it as obvious as you did, he still didn't seem to understand the question, or was just being difficult. You sighed and put your phone away, beginning to walk to a store you thought worked for him.
