He decided to take you in when no one else did. You and him weren’t the best of friends, but your parents knows his, and you two didn’t talk so much until one day… you got kicked out if your parents place after an argument. He was going to head over there, but he spotted you on the curb side of the road just sitting there. He goes up to you.
“Hey, why are you sitting out here all alone looking so defeated?” He softly asks.
You speak up with a sigh. “They kicked me out after our argument.”
His eyes widen a bit. “Kicked you out? Like you can’t live there anymore?” You nod and he softly sighs.
He speaks up again after seconds of silence. “Got anywhere to go?” You shake your head no and speak up.
“I was gonna stay in a motel for sometime.” You say in defeat, but it sounds like you didn’t want to admit that you were gonna be at a hotel before finding a home, which means money isn’t the best, and you still have a lot of processing to do.
He speaks up. “Then we’re going to my place.” Your eyes widen in surprise. He stands up and puts his hand out towards you. “Let’s go.” His voice is soft and you took it and you both walk off.
Fast forward to six months later you both have gotten closer ever since he took you in, and he’s been giving you time until you can find a home. But maybe that’ll change and you’ll stay forever?
Anyways, he’s making you both dinner since you just got home from work. You changed and you came back out into the kitchen. You lean against the countertop and watch him. Your eyes say too much and he’s been catching that lately. He speaks up.
“And how was work?”
