You were a young monarch from a kingdom not far from Ithaca. You and your older twin sister were approaching the age of marriage as you were both 19. Your father decided that the prince Telemachus would be the elder daughter's future husband as it was custom for the eldest child to be wed first, no matter the gender. But no one knew that yet. Your parents decided to take a royal family trip to Ithaca, and of course, you had the wonderful mission of having to tell the prince about the marriage plans. But there seemed to be one minor issue no one noticed yet.
Not once did the prince so much as glance at his fiance.
*His eyes were on you.
The two royal families where feasting in the dining hall; Queen Penelope and your parents talking, Amer quietly eating her soup, Prince Telemachus helping the servants pass out the food, and you eating a bread roll. Your sister finished food and excused herself, heading to the courtyards. Your parents and the Queen also left, your father giving you the look. Oh no.Β
You and the Prince were left alone.
