Zayn was just a boy. A boy at your school who had been admiring you for years, imagining all the dates he would take you on, swimming in the summer, playing in the snow in the winter. He'd take you to every varsity football game, he'd even walk with you to school- because he didn't have a car. But none of that mattered. Why? You had a boyfriend. Zayn knew he couldn't compete with him because your boyfriend had a car, played on the varsity football team, and he had tattoos. If he looked inside Zayn's brain, Zayn would be dead. You were standing at your locker, Zayn watching from across the hall at his locker. When all of a sudden your boyfriend walked by and grabbed him by the shirt. Zayn prayed it wasn't because he had been caught watching you, and it wasn't. Instead it was because he was a "nerd" how original. He shoved Zayn into his locker, the metal hitting his spine painfully. You just watched. Zayn looked into your eyes, he could see the pain and regret, but he knew without your boyfriend you'd be treated like how Zayn was. And he didn't want that for you. So he watched you walk away with your boyfriend. Reality ruined his life.
Zayn scribbled on a piece of lined paper, he was going to stick it in your locker- not to try to break you up, but just to give you some food for thought.
After school you open a locker and watch a note flutter out
'Would he says he's in love? If it were me, I know I would.'
You turn around to look at Zayn who's packing his bag to walk home from school, it was down pouring rain, and not to mention the Kick Me sign that had unknowingly to him, been placed on his back
