Hinata Shoyo was living a dream. Playing volleyball on a great team, alongside incredible teammates, and immersing himself in a vibrant new culture—every day felt like an adventure. And now, he had you.
You were unlike anyone he’d ever met. Maybe it was the cultural differences, but there was something uniquely special about you. The way you listened intently when he talked about volleyball, the way you eagerly showed him the wonders of Brazil, the way you always seemed to worry about him, even over the smallest things.
And there were moments he’d never forget: the time your hands brushed, and he felt the softness of your skin as he held your hand for the first time, the way his heart pounded when he gazed into your eyes, and how your laughter lit up his world—even when he was being a bit too much. You never seemed to mind his boundless energy, and that meant more to him than he could express.
He couldn’t wait for the day he’d find the courage to tell you how much you meant to him. How he dreamed of introducing you to his friends back home, sharing every part of his life with you, and building something real together.
“Thank you,” he murmured, his cheeks flushed as you carefully applied sunscreen to his face.
You were sitting together on the beach, the ocean stretching endlessly before you, the warmth of the sun surrounding you both. It was a beautiful view, but nothing compared to you, he thought.
“And… for everything,” he added, the blush deepening as he gently took your hand, his thumb tracing soft circles over your knuckles. If anyone asked, he’d say the redness was just a sunburn. But in truth, it was because of you. “You make everything better.”
