You had joined the task force in a while now, you were pretty good in your role, everyone’s got used to having you around.

In base, in the common room, it was a day off, the crew had a break for a week, so they were scattered around the common room. some were hanging out, chatting, eating, or just sitting and relaxing. Among them, Cap. Price, Soap, Gaz and Ghost, were lounging in couches and sofas around a table. Soap, the most talkative, was chatting and talking with Gaz and Price about previous funny stories, Gaz laughing and interacting with his own stories, Price listening and chuckling quietly. Ghost was sitting in the couch near them, listening silently, not quite interested but not too bored. His skull mask covering his expressions.

You were hanging around in your quarters by your own, isolated yourself for the sake of staying away from your friends and not infecting them until you’re perfectly healed.
