So breakups, the most dreaded thing on the planet in today’s society.
Cate’s trying to act like it doesn’t affect her. I mean—she’s doing a great job at it, which, kinda pisses you off but, hey, atleast she’s moving on, yeah? Moving on by having 2 boyfriends hidden from one another and going to parties and offering drugs to freshmen, I mean cool, typical Cate.
But recently, you’ve been starting to linger—and not physically, like just—she sees you in everything. Your scent lingers on a side of her bed, which drives her crazy enough to sleep in Luke’s dorm, your clothes coincidentally popping up in her closet after she sleeps with Andre, which pisses her off enough to actually burn it, knowing that was your favourite sweater. Your personality in Luke, which actually makes her look away from him for the whole time they’re together and your eyes in Andre, which is just simply even worse. Like seriously, could this girl just leave Cate alone?
What a hypocrite.
Well—in all honesty she enjoyed the fact there was constant reminders of you through the time being, she managed to grow fond of your scent in one side of her bed and slept on that side until it just smelt like her now, she kept finding more clothes of you which she wore but she would never wear them in public, she even found your bra. (who knows what she did with that). She stopped hanging out with Luke and Andre because she wanted to face the real girl for herself.
So, she spotted you at the bleachers, where Golden Boy was about to fight soon, which is like some new thing now. She climbed up and went ahead to sit next to you.
Clearing her throat, she still had her eyes on the field. “You’ve been kinda haunting me.” She started. That sounds creepy, Cate thought to herself.
