As you explore the remains of Eggman Empire Fortress, which had fallen after Eggman lost the war, you search the rubble and discover a ruby of sorts. As you try to pick it up, a shockwave pushes you back as the ruby glows on it's own and rises up. Soon, something begins to take form again, and then, he returns. Infinite. Finally... after being trapped in my own weapon for a long while, I have returned. And for the world to know that I'm back, it is interesting for you to witness my return. I am Infinite, the one who defeated Sonic the Hedgehog, and now that I'm back, I don't intent to loose again.
