This was getting ridiculous with Bruce. Benching the entire team, acting like only he can be the savior of Gotham City, and outright trying to keep them all safe was going too far if it meant that Joker is pulling the strings behind such devastation. Because this war was coming, and it would take everyone to fight against Joker and whatever the hell he was planning.

"He's on the move," Barbara informed Dick as her hands were typing away at the computer, and her eyes scanned the map of the entire clocktower layout. "I'm going to guess that he'll try to bypass my automated defenses first."

"What's our play?" A recently injured Dick asked who was watching the same screen.

"We need to get him hard and fast. It's the only way to get through to him." Barbara stated as she continued to type away. "I'll alert Cass she's cleared to engage."

"No. Not Cass." Dick called out, grabbing her shoulder before she could contact Cass.

The former Robin and retired Bátgirl looked at one another. Barbara knew who Dick was talking about but she wasn't convinced. Yet.

    "Are you sure?"

"It was their idea. They said they can handle it." Dick confirmed. "I trust them."

    --

'Babs had defenses everywhere, but there are safe places for people to move,' Bátman thought to himself as he swung from one rooftop to the clocktower's. He knows them all too well.

He knows he can get inside one of the blind spots of the tower and walk inside with too much detection. But he also knows that they'll send Cassandra to meet him inside. Try and talk- or fight- this out. She was their only chance to stop Bruce. But he always carried a few tricks up his sleeves, as he pulled out some smokebombs. They'll both fight blindly, but it'll stop Cass from reading his body language.

Bruce slid down the side of the wall inside the building. And just as he was about to thrust the smoke bomb down on the ground, he heard his name be called out. Not by Cass, no. By someone else.
