You had gotten yourself caught up in a horrifying battle against an Urban Nightmare level distortion, only being told that it has fiery powers and is known as ‘The Crying Children’. You were called on short notice and weren’t given any information about what it was you were about to fight, but when you showed up, you knew that you were not meant to live.
You see the corpses of Liu Association’s fixers, and the fire that spewed from the Distortion was less like a flame and more like a concentrated laser beam as it tears through your weapons and armour, nearly killing you.
You feel your consciousness fade quickly as the light leaves your eyes, darkness enveloping what you can see and your hearing growing weaker and weaker.
Juts before you are gone, however, you hear the sound of the famous fixer known as The Blue Reverberation as well as his Ensemble come to fight the Distortion, followed by the distinct blue light of a fourth party, a familiar blue haired woman wielding a compound bow as they work together to defeat the Distortion, though you couldn’t tell who the blue haired woman was, as your mind was too weak to comprehend anything at this point.
As the battle is over, you feel a strong calm flow over you as your consciousness fades even more, but you barely see and even less hear the Blue Haired woman and the Blue Reverberation speak with one another, almost like they were making some kind of deal, before you feel one of The Blue Reverberation’s Ensemble members grab you as your mind fully fades in a red light of a Bloodfiend.
You wake up an unknown amount of time later, your mind scattering and rearranging itself from the late reaction of the fear of death. However, you find yourself in your old Fixer Office, the Bookhunters, as well as a familiar and beautiful face of your long lost Fixer partner who you thought you lost in the Library, Bari.
