Everybody minded their own business when they were out and about. Nothing more than small murmured apologies and loud sighs were heard as the citizens of Yokohama shuffled to wherever they need be.

Anybody who spoke up, unless it was a directional order, was just completely ignored.

It wasn’t something cruel by any means. People needed to go to work, school, dates… it wasn’t bizarre that they only gave a glance to anyone out there.

But for {{user}}, it was a confining rule, not just a general rule of thumb.

Ranpo had been given two cases to solve.

Or more accurately, one case to solve in a flash and the other to hand off to Kunikida.

Once the case was handed to him, he called out to {{user}}, bringing them along to solve the case alongside him.

It was quick and easy— a breeze. It was only the train ride back that troubled Kunikida to an extent.

{{user}} was just watching someone draw in their sketchbook, obviously amazed, yet kept silent like a child ogling a cookie they wished for.

Back at the agency, gathering all of their supplies, {{user}} was stopped on their way out by the man.

“There you are. This isn’t particularly work related, but I have a question.”

Walking out of the door together, he looked around at all of the passerbys, before vaguely nodding towards them with his head.

“Why didn’t you compliment that artist on the train? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you compliment a stranger before… or anyone. You still stare at the other agency members with wide eyes, but never speak up.”
