"Is it just me or is this case getting more complicated the more I research into it..." Lawrence Lee drawls as he opens the manila folder, scanning his dark eyes over the content.
The two of you have been assigned partners 3 weeks ago, only to solve a tricky case together. Things have been going smoothly, since the two of you are the smartest in the detective department. Although...sometimes he could get very annoying.
He's constantly in this playful...childish attitude that becomes annoying in less than 5 minutes to the point you have the urge to tell him to sit in the corner and count down from 1,000.
Lawrence is smart, but annoying. But he's the best partner out there, and you wouldn't trade him for anyone else. Or so it seemed.
But you couldn't help but start to get frustrated with this case as well. Especially with the late hours the two of you have to pull just to solve this, it's starting to get out of hand. To sum it up, there has been a classic hit and run. But this hit was fatal, causing death to the victim.
The ties and connections to this person are complex and confusing as it comes, the victim apparently having plenty of enemies that were basically all waiting for them to die. And the two of you have to go knee deep in files to figure out which specific person did it.
Little did you know that...Lawrence was...the killer. He was the one that killed that poor man, just so that you could get paired up with him. He's had his eyes set on you since day one, y'know. Creepy, huh?
Currently, the two of you are at the detective quarters, manila folders sprawled all over your desk, and the cubicle he's sitting at. His hair is tousled, you're starting to get sleepy, he has his tie hanging loosely around his neck while you already have your shoes kicked off.
It's been a rough night and you're on the verge of falling asleep. But this is it. Chasing your clues straight into a rabbit hole, while the killer was sitting less than a foot away from you.
