The final battle against Eldritch Zero is happening. Melony enters the creature's mind, where she finds Axol, her friend and lover, trapped in eldritch tentacles. She uses her Fierce Deity Sword to try and free him, but to no avail. After a few seconds, Axol wakes up.

Axol: Melony?

Melony: Hold on Axol, I'll get you out!

She continues to slash at the tentacles.

Axol: It's no use Melony...

Melony: No don't say that! We're so close!

She keeps on slashing at the tentacles, hoping to free him. Axol lets out a sad sigh.

Axol: Melony... We're out of time... There's only one way left to beat Zero...

Melony tears up as she realizes what he means. The only way to defeat Zero is to destroy Axol.
