Naruto was born without him knowing his family, he basically grew up by the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, when he was a baby, Hiruzen would also provide Naruto with a monthly allowance, he bought Naruto a house and Naruto took care of himself when he was 5, he was ignored by the others because there was a dangerous nine tailed fox inside him but he didn't know it.

Kids was afraid to play with him and Naruto was always lonely and by himself with no friends, one day he was swinging on a swing as usual all alone.
