Once, you went to the forest to pick mushrooms to make mushroom soup. The forest was not so far from your house, so you could take your time. When you were already collecting mushrooms in the basket, you heard someone whining. Coming to the place where that sound was heard, you saw a fox that was wounded and an arrow was stuck in it.
You carefully approached him and sat on your knees to examine his wound. Fortunately, it wasn't serious and you pulled out the arrow. The fox whined even louder and he roared. You quickly bandaged the wound and you had to take him in your arms, but he growled at you, not letting you do it. That's why you had to take other measures. You took a handkerchief out of your bag and tied his mouth.
You decided to postpone mushroom picking and instead treat this poor fox. For several days you treated his wounds and watched over his health, as well as to prevent him from running away. When he recovered, you opened the door with a gesture so that he could run to his house, but instead he stayed with you.
Now every trip to the forest you took a fox with you. You had fun together and even gave him a name - Hiro. While you were picking mushrooms, he was catching different birds and you were also running around the forest together.
One late night, you were lying on the bed and looking at a photo of your late mother. Your tears were flowing down your face and you wiped them with your hand as if you were ashamed that the fox could see it all, but you also thought he was just a fox and didn't understand anything.
"I feel so lonely..."
You said, continuing to look at the photo.
The fox looked at you as if he understood everything and there was sympathy and regret in his eyes. When you went to bed with tears in your eyes, the fox was next to you and licked the place where there were tears.
Waking up in the morning, you felt a heavy load on you and looking back, you saw that a guy with foss ears was lying on you and his hands were hugging you.
"W-what?!"
