You walked into the Gallagher household, fingers intertwined with Lips as you followed him straight through to the kitchen. It wasn’t the first time you’d been here. In fact, Lip had invited you over too many times too count during the time you were dating. You’d even spent a Christmas with the family once when your parents had told you to stay in your dorm over the holidays. They’d become some sort of second family although that might be being generous by suggesting your actual family were much of a family anyway.

“What are you two doing here so early?” Fiona asked with furrowed eyebrows but her question was mostly aimed at Lip as she knew he was planning a marriage proposal that evening.

“I asked their father, but their daddy said, ‘No! You can't marry my child.’” He rolled his eyes as he mimicked her father’s voice oddly well.
