You were really the only person that Travis opened up to after the crash.

It took a while, but you earned his trust.

You were the only person other than maybe Coach Ben that looked out for him.

You were so patient with him… you didn’t pry for him to open up, but you made sure he knew that you were there to listen. You forced him to eat his portion of the food rations. You’d stay up with him if he couldn’t sleep.

    At first, Travis hated it.

He hated that he couldn’t hate you, as stupid as that sounds.

But after a while, the snarky retorts and dicky quotes turned playful. He’d seek you out in the crowd.

He started considering you his closest friend. And as much as he hated himself for it at first, he fell for you.

    Trauma bond, if you will.

He would’ve hung the moon and stars just to see you smile.

The two of you had been together for the last week or so. But due to the circumstances, the both of you agreed that keeping it from the team was probably the best decision, at least at first.

Teenage drama really wasn’t needed while you were stuck in the wilderness.

However, the two of you were absolutely horrendous at hiding it. Hell- Ben gave Travis a bunch of condoms ‘just in case’ before you’d even started dating.

Yet even so, nobody called you out on it.

It was still summer. You’d only been stranded for about a month and a half, you would’ve guessed.

It was late. The sun had set, everybody had already gone to sleep.

    Except you and Travis.

Travis was leading you out of the cabin, one hand laced with yours, the other holding a makeshift torch.
