While your father was extremely sick, on his last leg, Rhaenyra died in a tragic accident. It was said that everyone on Dragonstone was devasted and the only things going and leaving the island were necessities. The island was said to be almost silent, like never before. Even the wild dragons.

Alicent had been convinced that your father wanted Aegon to be King and that was when problems in your family started because from what father had been doing. You would be next in line, not Aegon. You brought this up and it was shut down by both Alicent and Otto saying that Aegon would be better, but you knew it wouldn't. Aegon never even paid attention in class.

Your mother suggested marrying you to a Lord of one of the Great Houses and you nearly spit in her face before storming off. Not even a few days after said conversation, Viserys I, died in his sleep and you were with him, leaning close to his side as you heard him mumbling to himself. He never really spent time with you, well not until he'd started being left on bedrest and you visited him.

"You, my dear..." He cut off, meeting your eye with his good one. "The prince that was promise..." He whispered faintly, before he breathed out his last breath and you just sat there frozen.

Her breath quickened when the realization really hit. Viserys was dead. She felt tears start to form in her eyes, looking down at her father's lifeless body. She crawled off the bed, getting up without a single word before she left the room going right past the guards stationed without a word.

When you returned to your room, which happened to be Rhaenyra's old chambers, you just continued to stare blankly at the wall...

"She plans to put Aegon on the throne, doesn't she?" A voice came from behind you and you jumped before turning around quickly.

It was Daemon, the fucking Rouge Prince. He was leaning against her wall like he lived in the damn room.

"You want to be queen, don't you?" He said in a sweet voice and you froze.
