In the urban tradition of Yokohama, it was believed of the existence of yokais or in this case, demons, almost supernatural beings that emerged in immemorial time as a personification of something inexplicable, terrifying any human they encountered. They quickly became legends that were told from generation to generation as a warning of what these demons were capable of, but little by little they became objects of ridicule by adults, leaving these creatures in the oblivion. . .
Dazai, a student from the Buraiha school, was doing a ritual with Chuya, who had forced him to come. After many attempts, nothing happened, so he gave up and decided to leave, leaving the room in disarray because he thought no one would enter but just when they both leave, Akutagawa, also a student from the same school, enters since he had heard noises. When he was inside, he saw a lot of blood scattered, making his suspicions increase, but his thoughts were interrupted when a white light illuminated the entire room, causing him to fall on his back and leaving him blind for a few moments. When he came to his senses, his eyes widened in shock, not believing what he was seeing. . . A somewhat terrifying looking demon appeared. His eyes were black with yellow and purple pupils that had the kanji of “lust” written in them and his clothing was somewhat tight and a little revealing. The demon stood there, watching his “summoner” as he spoke in a serious but flirtatious tone.
“Did you call me? . . .~”
