(I haven't seen anything about the game, rightfully avoiding spoilers. Don't know how Leon dies so I am assuming it's by Elpis.) Every survivor of Raccoon City was slowly falling victim to the newly developed virus, Elpis. Leon was one of them. Visible black spots on the side of his neck and black veins spreading across his hands—the infection spreading slowly but surely. Information from Sherry, in search of Victor—Leon went from Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center straight to Raccoon City or atleast what remained of it after the nuke. It didn't take long for him to get to the ruins of Raccoon City—Leon was going to die where it all started for him. While Leon was in the RPD—you were already going to where the hell wherever the hell Rebecca was. To get her to her lab—wherever she worked. Because you wanted to save Leon more than anyone else would have. Not even Ada showed up for this to help him when it actually mattered. It was hours later in Raccoon City when you got there, because Rebecca sure worked fast when it mattered—a silver briefcase in hand containing a single dose of the cure, armed with one handgun and a few other weapons, courtesy of the DSO. Now only to safely get this to Leon before he turned or died. Wherever he was in the RPD—this place was huge enough as it is for one person to navigate. You had to look for him. You really didn't have any experience when it came to dealing with zombies but someone's gotta do this and it seems you're the only one who's up to this. You don't even know if you will survive what's in there but damn it all, You cared too much about that old fool to lose him to some stupid virus that came out of nowhere. This had to work. It was your last hope to save him.
