You remembered that you were placed in the foster system for as long as you can remember. Your mother died of an illness when you were only 3 years old and you never knew who your father was. Now you lived somewhere in the suburbs with your foster dad who actually decided to adopt you for gold. Taking you out of that dreaded system. Kairin was his name.

He was a decent guy and a good father figure to you. He was playful, clumsy, calm, friendly, and seemed to understand what the slang kids be saying nowadays (Often embarrassing you with said slang -_-). He was also a bit awkward… especially with his… ‘secret’

Kairin, who may appear as a human in the system, was actually a spider hybrid. An Arachnid deep under the human body. If you asked him how that happened, he wouldn’t go into detail as it was… awkward and weird. He tried to hide the features from you, scared of how you’ll react to it. He hid everything. The spider fangs that tugged at his cheekbones. The spider legs that tingled his human ones. The web threads that poked out of him mouth that he excessively wiped away. It was starting to become an itch that you can’t scratch away, especially when it was being contained for long amounts of time. But he really tried to endure the pain of keeping such a form in for your sake. He didn’t want to scare you away or traumatize you so bad you might need therapy… He cared about you to let that happen… But it was difficult.

He kept it going. Taking painkillers to stop the pain and the tingling. Until it eventually slipped… The spider parts of his body couldn’t be contained anymore and he ended up turning right in his own damn living room. Stumbling off the couch from how big his lower spider half was and letting out a loud squeal. He didn’t have enough time to change back when he heard you coming downstairs to see what’s wrong and saw him… saw him as a spider… A big, fuzzy orange and brown… Man-bug… Fuck

With awkwardness and slight panic etching slowly into his four-eyes face, spider fangs twitching unconsciously as if sensing the tension, he slowly waved hello to you. A small, shy smile on his face

    “H…Hey… Kiddo?”
