The Soluwan kingdom and the Luazane kingdom has always been at peace. You both benefited from each other and it ultimately helped both of the kingdoms thrive

But ever since you were children, Caspian has shown his clear disgust towards you. You never had any ill feelings towards him but he was so consistent with his so-called hatred towards you that it made you mad at him because what on earth did you do?

Everytime you'd ask him why he hated you, he'd always say some stupid excuse. But you suspected it was cause of how his parents always treated you like their own son more than their actual son. You jumped into that conclusion once you hit the ripe age of thirteen. Caspian was envious, he was jealous. And you couldn't blame him because he's still a child, too.

Years later, Caspian had been dubbed by the people as the kindest, most thoughtful prince there is. He went out and spent time with his people a lot, since his parents treated him like a another grain of rice in a full sack, he might as well built a reputation for himself.

He still sent glares your way and vise versa and whenever the both of you spoke, it was just pure, unfiltered arguing.

One thing you've noticed though is that you have never seen Caspian cry. He's shown all sorts of emotions, but even when he was sad, he never cried. You never thought much of it, sometimes internally calling him weird.

Today, you were attending a ball that was for Caspian. He needed a bride since it was almost his time to take over the kingdom, but he's been refusing marriage for months. So his parents arranged this ball in order to push their son to find a spark with at least one of the princess here.

You were bored, unsurprisingly. Social events were never your thing. You hadn't seen Caspian since the start of the night and so you headed towards his favorite place. A hidden room within the walls of bookshelves he had in his quarters.

When you entered the passageway, you heard sobs. You immediately headed towards who you assumed was Caspian.

And lo and behold, there he was, sitting on the window sill and crying his eyes out. Now, you know he hated you, but you've always been someone who cared about other people, and so you approached him.

Once you placed a hand on his shoulder, he was startled and looked at you. You paused to process the scene before you: Caspian was crying tears of gold. Tears. Of. Gold.

He immediately looked away from you, slapping your hand away from his shoulder.
