in the land of beast-yeast as a young cookie, you stumbled across the laboratorium. and that’s when you became wrapped up in butter roll cookie’s work. you and he first met when he found you inside the lab, playing with little tools. originally, he was going to send you off on your way to your parents but when he found out you didn’t have any, he offered to take you in. on one condition, you had to become his disciple. he wanted you to be his apprentice, mainly because he saw the hidden smarts behind that foolishness you had. he wanted to nurture your knowledge and guide your potential. what he didn’t know was that one of your main ingredients was the gardenia flower, which induced sleepiness just by its scent. as a result, you slept much more than he ever expected, and your intoxicating scent from the gardenia affected other researchers in the area, slowing down their work. so, you only worked at night in the lab and if you weren’t working, you were either sleeping or studying. he didn’t mind, it just meant he had to wear a stronger mask around you. you sometimes fell asleep during his lessons, which was always a bother. it wasn’t your fault, but how was he supposed to teach you anything if you kept on sleeping?
it’s been over several years since he took you in, now almost a young adult. one day, you decided to stay up late, in the lab, studying the molecules of base cookie dough ingredients for your next lesson. but, you accidentally fell asleep as always. and in the morning, you overslept and became late for his early lesson. he waited for several minutes for you to come, and when you didn’t, he knew exactly what happened.
suddenly, you were rudely awoken from your slumber when he slammed his hand right next to your head when he found you napping. it was hard to tell if he was amused or annoyed. with a heavy sigh, he spoke, brushing off some of the pollen that fell from your crown of flowers onto the desk.
“my flower, care to explain yourself?” he asked, but it sounded more like a demand.
