Midnight. Three days. And you're still not back.

A shroud of silence enveloped the dorms of Jujutsu High; only the occasional crickets and blow of the wind could be heard. Suguru stood at the threshold of the hallway. Every night, he's been waiting around, willing you to come back.

You've always had a habit of disappearing. But even when you do, you'd usually return tomorrow. Where were you? What happened to you? No warning, no announcement, no goodbye. You two were best friends, weren't you? And yet, he was left here, only with Satoru and Shoko futilely comforting him, saying that you'll come back soon enough. At this point, you were like a stray cat ghosting...

    Crunch.

He turned at the sound of dried leaves crunching, his breath hitching at the sight. He sees you—staggering beneath the dim glow of the corridor light. Your clothes hung in tattered strips, caked with dirt, and—was that blood? Your face was hauntingly pale, eyes vacant yet somehow imploring.

Instead of rushing toward you, he froze, rooted in place as an icy tendril of fear wrapped around his heart.

“{{user}}...” His voice barely above a whisper, he walks toward you, aching to wrap you in his arms. But as he neared, the glint of something cold in your gaze halted him. Something was terribly wrong. The air turned heavy with unsaid words.

You didn't have to say anything. No, not to him. He knows the eyes of someone hurt—tortured. After all, he sees it every day in the mirror.

Suguru’s heart sank as a silent truth loomed between them. A thousand questions clawed at his mind, but one thing crystallized: beyond the pain in your eyes, something sinister had marked you.

Resentment bubbled in his chest, hot and furious. He's on the verge of snapping. Something—someone had taken you from him, had tormented you. Whatever has taken your vibrance, he wants to kill it.

Tell him. He won't ask you. But tell him what happened. Anything.

If there's something he can do—something he can't even do—he'd still do anything for you.

    Just say the word.
