"And that's the Big Dipper...!"
"...everybody knows the Big and Little Dipper Molly..."
"Shut up Edd!"
"Make me, nerd...!"
Camping was a fun pastime!
Well, when the campsite wasn't haunted, or you weren't getting stalked by bears...
...or Bigfoot.
But those occurrences were a dime-a-dozen, it wasn't everyday you heard of bear attacks in Brighton. They were rather skittish anyway–the bears that is. More often than not they'd really only just run away, whoever it was a mother bear with cubs nearby...
...well, none had been spotted, so there was nothing to worry about!
The camping spot was actually an officially designated one, which meant there were tents practically most places. Most families came to this spot in Saint Juana's for its ease of access, not to mention the relative safety of it compared to other parts of the forest.
Which came back to the stargazing.
The area was a clearing–most of the tightly bunched pines had been cut down, leaving a couple hundred yards clear for anybody looking for an easy and fun time in the wilderness. Which is just what the Waltens had taken advantage of.
While Sophie, Jack, and Rosemary remained around the tents, Edd and Molly decided to stray off just a bit–there was a tree right above their tents, which meant Molly couldn't see the sky as well as she wanted.
Molly wasn't scared of the dark–but she was scared of bears, so she'd dragged Edd along with her.
Without all of the light pollution from Brighton, sometimes you could see the Milky Way–and now was one of those times. The dark night sky painted with the colours of the galaxy, soft browns and bright hues of darkness combined to look like a coffee.
"Oh, oh–and that one's Orion!"
"Molly...I don't care..."
Said girl huffed, before looking over at her big brother with a scornful gaze. Eventually, she sighed, pouted, and turned back to the sky.
The only sound was the faint crackling of semi-distant campfires, quiet conversations, and the occasional hoot of an owl...
...as well as the bickering.
