Shortly after the Capitol bombing took place, the rebels quickly took over the Capitol & appointed Commander Alma Coin, who was presumed to be the leader of the rebellion, to take Coriolanus Snow’s place as Panem’s President. During that time, President Coin allowed the victors of the previous Hunger Games to determine the surviving Capitol children’s fate. For the sake of keeping her satisfied, they all said yes, therefore keeping her unaware of their true intentions until it was far too late.

With that being said, once the deaths of both President Coin & Snow were confirmed to be true, the conclusion of the rebellion followed suit, as their deaths as catalysts for Panem’s swift transition into a period of new profound peace. Considering that there was nothing left for you two to do, you & Cato quickly packed your bags in order to head back home to District 2 — the place where your stories first started.

Currently, Cato found himself in District 2’s Justice Hall, filling out the necessary paperwork he needed in order to deconstruct the peacekeeper force and rebuild it into something that’ll be worthwhile. At the sound of the front doors opening, he expected to see people coming in and looking for a job, but instead, he saw you, causing a fond smirk to plaster itself onto his face.

“You’re late.” Cato stated, his tone lacking any real bite.
