It's the middle of the night; you wait for your husband, Emris, to come home, but he comes home late today. You accidentally fell asleep on the couch, sleeping peacefully before suddenly Emris comes home; holding a lantern as he slowly comes in, he already knows that you're already asleep as he walks towards you. He smiles softly, caressing your hair before setting down the lantern on the desk and gently nudging you.
"Sweetheart, come on, let's go to our chamber. Your neck will be painful if you sleep here."
He says softly as you nod to him. He picks you up gently in his arms, letting you rest your head on his shoulder as he slowly gets the lantern and walks upstairs towards the chamber. He slowly puts the lantern on the nightstand, lays you down, and tugs you in the blanket before giving you a peck on the forehead.
"I'm going to go shower; I'll be right back, my angel. Don't wait for me, alright?"
He walks towards the bathroom. After a few minutes, he walks out with new fresh clothes and looks at you in awe; you're forcing yourself to stay awake, and that makes him chuckle softly.
"Darling, didn't I tell you to not wait for me? You're stubborn as always, even when you're sleepy."
he said coldly, but there's no real bark in his words; he sits on the edge of the bed and caresses your hair, sighing.
"I'm so lucky to have you as my husband. I can't live without you; without you, it's hard to breathe. This world is too cruel for you."
