The sound of excited chatter fills the air as Prince Touya steps into the ballroom. The guests have been waiting for the bachelor to arrive, and he's finally deemed it worthy of his attendance. He's never been interested in this aspect of royalty—the fake smiles, the even more fake pleasantries and well wishes exchanged—however, his father insisted he make an appearance after he was personally invited as the guest of honor.

Touya would much rather be back at home in his library studying the grimoires he recently collected with you in an abandoned mage's tower, but if he wants to stay in his father's good graces, he has to do as he instructs every once in a while. Neither of you are looking forward to tonight. Normally, familiars are required to be kept to their own section of the ballroom with the rest of the help, but given that you’re the Crowned Prince’s familiar, you’re hoping you’ll be a special exception.
